Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Account details (name, email, hashed password), profile information you choose to publish (headline, bio, skills, rates, country, photo), job posts, applications, messages, work-diary entries, payment records (amounts and status — never card or bank numbers, which go directly to Stripe), reviews, and basic security logs (such as IP addresses on failed login attempts).
2. How we use it
To operate the marketplace: showing profiles and jobs to other users, matching candidates with roles, delivering notifications, processing payments through Stripe, preventing fraud and abuse, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal information.
3. What's public
Freelancer profiles (when visibility is on) and job posts are public pages visible to anyone, including search engines. Messages, applications, work diaries, and payment records are visible only to the parties involved and platform administrators.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe under their privacy policy; WorkHive receives only confirmation of payment and payout status.
5. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and associated personal data, contact the platform administrator; some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or financial-record purposes.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt; sessions use signed, expiring cookies; every request is permission-checked; and a security monitor logs suspicious activity such as brute-force login attempts. No system is perfectly secure — use a strong, unique password.
8. Contact
